At our modern laboratory in Atlantis, just outside Cape Town, ALBA laboratories specialises in developing plant tissue cultures that meet the highest international standards of excellence.
Our laboratory facilities measure over 600 metres square, while our administration staff has an additional 180 metres at their disposal. This set-up allows us to produce over 5 million plants per annum, but as we still have additional space of more than 800 m sq. available in the building, it can easily be expended to produce over 10 million plants.
Our quality control procedures are rigorously monitored and we are proud of the achievements of our local staff, who have become the most valuable asset of ALBA laboratories.Carefully selected international partners for handling and transportation play a major role in our ability to deliver on our promises, as does our easy access to a sophisticated infrastructure. What’s more, our proximity (40 minute drive) to Cape Town International Airport ensures fast and secure door-to-door delivery all over the globe.
Being a plant tissue culture laboratory we do not have any facilities to harden-off the plant material grown in the laboratory. However over the last few years we have established a good working relationship with the Propagating Plants nursery in Stellenbosch.
This nursery will be able to prepare your plant material to the growth stage that you require. Please do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about this nursery and their possibility to assist you with any propagation requirements, even from non-laboratory origin!
